Outstanding Youth in Education Award

As 2005 unfolds with the passing of 2004, no amount of appreciation and "thank-yous" can ever match the contributions of our selfless & dedicated teachers towards nurturing talents, academic accomplishment, personal development, confidence, courage & self-motivation. Take your time to nominate your teachers for the Outstanding Youth In Education Award this year.

The Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA) scheme was announced by Mr David T E Lim, then-Chairman of the National Youth Council (NYC), on 27 February 1999. The Award gives national recognition to the role younger teachers play in moulding the future of our nation. NYC is the secretariat for the OYEA Selection Panel and is assisted by the Teachers’ Network, Ministry of Education.

It seeks to recognise excellent younger teachers for their youthful idealism, enthusiasm, energy and active involvement in the development of youth beyond the formal curriculum.

Although competition is very keen from nominations by other schools, we are confident that West Spring teachers have what it takes. We need your voice West Spring!

Read more & nominate here. Closing date: Sat, 5 Feb 2005 (Hurry!).
